Constructed Silence

13–14 December 2025 · Koningskerkje Vierlingsbeek

After its first public showing during Open Monumentendag, the painting Crowned in Silence returns, this time as the centerpiece of Constructed Silence, a new exhibition bringing together multiple works that explore stillness, geometry and presence.
Crowned in Silence holds a special place within the series. It depicts both the Koningskerkje and the nearby Klefse mill, symbols of origin and continuity that connect my work directly to this landscape. Exhibited now inside the very church portrayed on the canvas, the circle closes as image and place meet in silence.
I live only a hundred meters from the Koningskerkje, and this exhibition marks a return to that source, a dialogue between inner and outer structure, between paint and presence.

all become one movement of creation.
